With nearly 40,000 personal training sessions performed, a wealth of knowledge, and a deep passion for his work, Gary ranks among the top personal trainers in the United States. He has led clients of all ages to tremendous improvements in body composition, strength, aerobic endurance, and flexibility, goals many of them never thought would be possible. These men and women include many national ranking athletes, personal trainers and aerobic instructors, people with various conditions and injuries, and individuals stepping foot in a gym for the first time.
Factors contributing to Gary’s success include approaching each session with great focus, demonstrating a sincere appreciation for the client’s goals and needs, an eye for detail, and a great deal of feedback. He places extraordinary emphasis on safety through instruction on proper postural alignment and technique. Through innovation, education, and motivation, he safely guides clients to the results they desire in a rewarding and enjoyable way.
As a creative force in the fitness industry, Gary started Maximum Definition, the Bay Area’s first world class personal fitness club, in 2003, as well as several unique fitness programs over the years, including The Battle Royal, Unstoppable, and The Fitness League.
Gary’s extensive background also includes experience as an author, speaker, radio and TV fitness consultant, group exercise and abdominal training instructor, committee chairman for various fitness competitions, and AAU youth basketball coach. His basketball coaching resume includes 8 championships and a winning percentage over .800 vs high school coaches.
